In this article, you will get to understand all the steps involved when placing an on-demand order.

1. On-Demand Icon

During this stage, you are able to navigate to the On-Demand section by clicking on the icon on the left-hand side.

2. Collection section

During this stage, the system requires the collection of information like it would in a bucket order.

Once the collection warehouse details/address have been entered, the necessary information will be auto-populated, with the exception of special instructions.

Important decisions to make include determining the collection time, selecting the fleet, choosing the vehicle type, and allocating it appropriately.

Once all the information is entered, you can click on “next”.

3. Delivery section

During this phase, delivery information must be provided that is easily understandable.

You will see that at the bottom, the parcel size is required in the same manner as a bucket order, and the measurements of the type of parcels are also clearly outlined.

Once these inputs have been completed, you can choose to add an additional delivery point or proceed to request a quote for the trip.

4. Quote request section

The below section outlines the collection and delivery details, in addition to the corresponding costs of the trip.

The first selection outlined is the customer reference, which should be documented for future reference. This is necessary for searching the trip on the system, which will not appear as a bucket would.

Lastly, a summary of selections and inputs should be provided, with the vehicle type and associated cost shown at the bottom.

5. Confirmation and Dispatch

Below is the last section that you will see before the trip is released by the system, this release happens after you click “Continue”.
